Bev hit a career midlife crisis when she was in her mid 30s. She had always known that her passion was around working with people and adding value to their lives at a point when they would be at their most vulnerable.
In a weird twisted interpretation of this tug on her heart strings, she announced to her husband that she was going to apply to work for a funeral parlor! Working with people - check Adding value - check Vulnerable people - check! Immediately he told her that wouldn't work and it would kill her,(pun intended)... He suggested that she goes for something that celebrated the beginning of life. She knew she could never be a midwife... the closest she had been to that is watching the Good Doctor! So she went 1 better and became a Birth & Postpartum Doula as well as an Antenatal and Postnatal Facilitator. Bev is passionate about serving women in pregnancy and her pet peeve is witnessing, either in person or otherwise, women being ill treated at a time when they should be celebrated for birthing and mothering.

Casey is a Registered Counsellor, with a special interest in trauma, relationships, parenting, sexuality and gender. She has a Masters Degree in Research Psychology, where her research looked at experiences of school based sex education. She is a co-founder of two continued professional development groups for health professionals, the Sexuality and Gender Identity Group, and the Non-Monogamies Interest Group. She also previously served on the Executive Committees of the Sexuality and Gender Division (SGD) of PsySSA, and the Southern African Sexual Health Association (SASHA). She has a passion for sexuality and relationship education, which extends past the school domain. She has been a guest speaker at various events, speaking to adult (young and older) audiences about a variety of topics, including sex and pleasure, navigating consent in a world of blurry boundaries, sexual wellbeing, to the importance – and difficulties – of communicating about sex within relationships. Casey created Tools for Having “The Talks” a series of workshops for parents and caregivers. These workshops provide parents and caregivers with information, skills and confidence to speak with their children about bodies, consent and bodily autonomy, and sex and family creation; in age-appropriate ways, from nursery school all the way up.

Jade Viljoen is the founder of Sacred Soul Birth Services. She is a HypnoBirthing Educator and Full Spectrum Doula, specializing in Sacred Pregnancy and Birth Support.
Jade has birthed three children, in three different ways. Her late son was birthed via Elective Caesarean at 38 weeks, her second born in an unmedicated VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Caesarean) and her third baby was born during the first wave of the Covid-19 Pandemic, at home using HypnoBirthing. Jade’s own very contrasting births, as well as her attendance in multiple births as both a volunteer in the government sector and private sector- have led her to believe that evidence based birth education, spiritual and emotional support are a sure way to create beautiful, comfortable and indeed sacred birthing experiences.
Jade has completed various metaphysical based trainings, in which she has found a happy medium between parenting and spirituality. Believing that our children choose us, before we ourselves have incarnated on Earth, Jade sees every experience to be an opportunity for growth into heart space living and awareness.
Jade creates several sacred pregnancy experiences as her training as a Sacred Pregnancy Facilitator and has a special interest in post birth energetic closing ceremonies. Jade also hosts Red Tent Gatherings, as a qualified Menstrual Awareness and Cyclical Living Coach. She also uses her social media platforms as a content creator, in the hopes to educate, inspire and encourage. You may follow her via @themindfulbirthcoach. Jade has a deep passion to bring awareness to the spiritual nature of pregnancy, birth and parenthood, with the hopes that we can heal the Earth, by the means of Gentle and Mindful Birth.
I am a Respectful & Conscious Parenting Guide and Positive Discipline Educator with a background in Montessori Early Childhood Education. I am also a Mother to a very wonderful little one and consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to walk alongside her in this life and get to know who she is, with this comes the opportunity to get to know myself better. Along my journey I found mindfulness and an incredible partner in this life who has shown me what it feels like to be truly seen and loved unconditionally. I found a new perspective to my emotions and in doing so shifted my perspective of the world. I’ve seen the negative impacts of how we treat ourselves and how we treat our children and I’ve also seen the humans behind these behaviours- when we lack support and information we aren’t able to do our best. Experiencing the outcomes of Respectful and Conscious Parenting first hand led to the creation of Roam. This is my part in contributing to the community that strives to support our parents, caregivers and children in a space that feels open, connected and supportive.
